Chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat-treatment condition, dimensional requirements and the governing purchase specification must be reviewed before substitution.

Supply and Processing

For a commercial procurement route, review our hardened and tempered steel strip page. Heat-treated products include an additional controlled heat-treatment stage. Required hardness, flatness, surface, edge and test method must be defined before feasibility is confirmed.

Applicable options may include cold rolling, leveling, annealing, heat treatment, precision slitting and cut-to-length processing. Not every processing condition applies to every grade.

Capability boundary
Across the material and processing portfolio, thicknesses may range from approximately 0.01 mm to 10 mm. Selected materials may be evaluated in widths up to approximately 1,000 mm. These figures are not available for every grade and condition. Final dimensions, tolerances and processing feasibility are subject to technical review.
